100 young persons received free registration of their Business, on Wednesday, August 21, at the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service (MYDNS) Youth in Business Entrepreneurship Expo, held at the National Academy for the Performing Arts (NAPA), Port of Spain, as part of Youth Week 2024.

The Youth in Business (YiB) Expo provided young and aspiring business owners with the opportunity to interact with various organisations and experienced business professionals, to access financial advice, business development opportunities and digital solutions, to accelerate their entrepreneurial pursuits.

The budding youth businessmen and businesswomen received sound business advice from a cadre of experts like Calvin Maurice, Chief Executive Officer – NEDCO and Hema Ramkissoon, Director of Marketing at UTC, along with the Honourable Foster Cummings, Minister of Youth Development and National Service.

Minister Cummings conveyed to the youth audience that the Youth in Business Expo is a clear example of some of the work being done to support youth and there is further evidence in the various Programmes that are offered.  Cummings stated, “We have rolled out a suite of Programmes covering every Industry across Trinidad and Tobago”, and further advised the young people that, “Business requires discipline and the right attitude.  I congratulate you for being brave and taking a step in the right direction”.
