On Friday August 9, 2024, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Narine Charran (Ag.) presented the Instrument of Appointment to Mr. Michael Alonzo Seales, who was reappointed as Registrar for a period of two (2) years. Speaking at the short Ceremony Mr. Charran expressed his elation to have Mr. Seales on board. Upon receiving his instrument, Mr. Seales stated, “I am excited to continue working to increase the Friendly Societies membership across Trinidad and Tobago.”
The Friendly Societies Division of the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service is responsible for the management and execution of projects and programmes for the Friendly Societies Movement of Trinidad and Tobago. The Office of the Registrar of Friendly Societies and Building Societies is responsible for the supervision and regulation of the operations of societies registered under the Friendly Societies Act Chapter 32:50.
