On Wednesday 21st June, 2023, the Honourable Foster Cummings, Minister of Youth Development and National Service presented Letters of Appointment to a new Board of Directors for the National Entrepreneurship Development Company Limited (NEDCO). Minister Cummings presented the Letters at the Conference Room, 4th Floor, of the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service (MYDNS), 2 Elizabeth Street, St. Clair, Port of Spain.
“This board represents a blend of solid financial experience; strong strategic management; cutting edge understanding of Information Technology and Data Analytics and proven experience to push for positive change,” Minister Cummings articulated.
“Over the next two years, I anticipate a continued growth on NEDCO’s trajectory ‘To be the leader of the MSE sector, fostering an entrepreneurial culture, thereby contributing to wealth creation and national development,’ ” the Minister added.
Mr. Clarry Benn, reappointed as Chairman of the Board, expressed his thanks to the Minister, “On behalf of the Board, I am thankful for the opportunity to serve at the national level. I have to recognise the tremendous support and cooperation from the Minister and Permanent Secretary. I am very grateful.”
The Members of the Board will serve for a term of two (2) years. The Members are:

NEDCO is a state enterprise under the purview of the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service, entrusted to develop the Micro and Small Enterprise sector through business training, entrepreneurial support services and loans.
