The Trinidad Youth Council (TYC) visited the Ministry of Youth Development and National (MYDNS) Service on January 16, 2023. Present on the TYC’s behalf were their President – Shane John; 1st Vice President – Terri-Ann Baker; Communications Officer – Sascha Williams and Executive Secretary – Shawn Williams.
At the Ministry, they were hosted by Minister of Youth Development and National Service the Honourable Foster Cummings; Permanent Secretary MYDNS – Mr. Farook Hosein; Deputy Permanent Secretary MYDNS – Mrs. Cherryl-Ann Solomon and Director of Youth Affairs, MYDNS, Mr. Sean Ramrattan.
During their visit, the TYC thanked the Minister for the various opportunities in which the TYC partnered with the MYDNS. They also informed Minister Cummings about challenges they continue to face in achieving their objectives as a body that represents and advocates for youth across Trinidad.
The Honourable Minister expressed his appreciation for the work being undertaken by the TYC. He also expressed that he looks forward to deepening the collaboration between the MYDNS and the TYC.
