MYDNS Top of the Hill 1 – Lady Chancellor Health and Wellness Walk

Minister of Youth Development and National Service, the Honourable Foster Cummings, led hundreds of young people, including MYDNS staff, MiLAT Cadets and the Trinidad and Tobago National Under-16 Netball Team, on a Health and Wellness walk along Chancellor Hill, on Saturday, February 1, 2025, in collaboration with Faye-Ann Lyons’ Hybrid Nation and the North West Regional Health Authority.

The walk, themed ‘Top of the Hill’, created the opportunity for members of the public, particularly the youth, to boost their physical health; in keeping with Pillar 2 of the National Youth Policy of Trinidad and Tobago: ‘Accentuating Holistic Youth Health and Wellbeing.’

The event incorporated a music truck, led by Faye-Ann Lyons-Alvarez’s Hybrid Nation, to encourage participants along the journey, as well as health checks by staff of the North West Regional Authority.

At the ‘Top of the Hill’, Faye-Ann and her team conducted an aerobic session that tested the endurance of participants. The event concluded with patrons rhythmically chipping back down the Chancellor Hill.

The Ministry of Youth Development and National Service remains committed to bringing all stakeholders together to promote youth development and encourages civic-minded citizens to contribute to the National Service of Trinidad and Tobago.
